Spring is in the air! Pretty soon it's going to be summer, and we all know what that means.....time to put on those bathing suits!! Last summer I had just barely given birth to Kohen, so I had a pretty good excuse....but not this year! It's definately time to get back in shape and HOPEFULLY look good enough to dare wear a swim suit out in public! I always whine and complain about how I don't look good anymore, and how I need to get back into shape...so Dustin and I have decided that it was time to get off our butts and actually do something about it! We ordered "P90X" from the internet and got to work! It's suppossed to get you ripped and in excellent shape in 90 days. It uses a technique called "Muscle Confusion" so that your body will never plateau, meaning your body will never get used to the workouts. The hardest part for me is the food...you can only have certain things to eat every day. I only get to eat one serving of carbs!! It's so hard because I LOVE bread and pasta! But I am trying to find ways to make it work. I can't say that I haven't slipped up at all, but my philosophy is that if you don't allow yourself anything, one day you are just going to freak out and eat everything in sight :)!!
I am now 18 days into it....72 more days to go!!! The workouts are hard, and sometimes I feel like it's impossible to find time in my day to do them, but so far I have done pretty well! Dustin on the other only lasted about a week or so....what a wuss! Hopefully he will start back up again at the beginning of next week! I will be keeping a journal entry on the sidebar of our blog...hopefully I can last 90 days! And if it actually works, I might even put a "Before & After" picture (I say "might" because no one really wants to look at a picture of the chubby girl in her bikini :)!!
